Dynamic Vinyasa Flow

Discover the dance of yoga and find unity within flowing movement guided by breath.  This is a dynamic practice where we build up to explore more challenging asanas (physical poses) through versatile and effective sequencing, increasing core strength and overall strength and stability.  In this class, we will cultivate presence and awareness, while integrating many forms of yoga and mindful practices to invite a spirit of peace, openness, and gratitude in this radiant form of moving meditation.  Experience deep relaxation, balance, flexibility, and clarity throughout body and mind.

*This is an intermediate-all level Vinyasa class with moderate to vigorous levels of intensity.  All levels of experience are welcome, however not recommended for absolute beginners.  As always, please modify the practice to your needs and rest whenever needed.  See our Schedule & Rates page for more information on our Dynamic Flow classes.

 

Core & Power Yoga
This is a dynamic power yoga practice with more demanding strength postures that will really get you breathing and sweating!  This style of practice was originally closely modeled on the Ashtanga method, although, Power yoga does not follow a set series of poses, and can vary widely on a creative level with the emphasis on strength and flexibility.  This class also focuses on building and engaging your core muscles to support you and prepare you for more advanced postures and “play” in your practice.  This is a very strong yet mindfully paced and balanced practice.

Gentle Hatha Flow
Our Hatha Flow gives the benefits of both a flowing Hatha practice and the stillness of a yin practice. Focused on having an understanding of the foundation and alignment of poses, the class begins with a gentle flowing sequence to warm and nourish the body.  Through versatile and effective sequencing we will also explore more challenging asanas (physical poses) that increase core strength and overall strength and stability.  Near the end, we integrate short sequences of yin yoga and stillness to settle the mind and re-balance our energy.  In this class, you will receive individualized instruction to accommodate specific needs/modifications. Attention is on alignment and using the breath to calm the mind and increase flexibility in the poses. Open to beginners and anyone looking for a mid-week rejuvenation. A great class to boost energy and de-stress!

Rest & Restore
This Rest and Restore class will offer supported asanas, pranayama and guided meditations during extended Savasana (Yoga Nidra). Poses are held for an extended period of time to fully release tension throughout the body. In fact, research has shown that Yoga Nidra alone can reduce tension and anxiety and 20 minutes of this practice has similar benefits to 2 hours of sleep. The combination of the gentle and supported physical practice with stress-reducing mindfulness guidance during the class will result in the body feeling rested and restored to more balanced levels of energy at the end of class. This gentle practice will also help you to heal the effects of chronic stress, recover from illness or injury, balance energy, and quiet the mind. You will find that the quality of sleep becomes better as you learn how to rest, reduce stress, anxiety, insomnia, hyper tension, and high blood pressure as you enter into this deep, unwinding and relaxing practice.

Yin with Roll & Release

An eclectic practice that can include self massage with Yoga Tune Up® therapy balls and/or foam roller, somatic movements, Yin Yoga, and breathing exercises. Melt away physical tension, energetic knots and chronic pain, and leave feeling more aligned within and without.
In this practice we will re-educate and re-pattern habitual ways of moving and holding the body through somatic movements. These movements are effective at eliminating pain and increasing movement and flexibility by reprogramming your brain as you do a variety of slow, gentle, and easy moves. We will also target the muscles and connective tissues, while opening up the subtle energetic body’s meridian system with Yin Yoga. Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints and enhances the body’s energetic flow to support emotional equilibrium. Poses can be held in stillness for 2 to 5 minutes allowing you to discover the deep layers of your body, correct imbalances, and release tension. Finally, we will also incorporate guided self-massage, using therapy balls to provide targeted trigger point healing that penetrates layers of tissue and muscle to massage deeply into your high-tension or over-stressed areas. This practice is a perfect complement to other styles of yoga and exercise, and it will leave you feeling refreshed, renewed, and restored.

Body Synergy Core & Flow 
Develop the strong, lean, and graceful body of a dancer, while helping to relieve lower back pain by targeting the body’s supportive, but often weak core muscles.  Deep core strengthening and Yoga infused with Pilates exercises offer a dynamic, low impact way to enhance athletic performance, promote flexibility, core strength and stability, and reduce overall stress.  We will also use the relaxation techniques and restorative counterposes of Yoga to close the practice and rest in between exercises.

Radiant Morning Vinyasa Flow
Root to rise and greet the day with a wonderfully radiant morning vinyasa flow!  In this practice, we will gently ease into energizing sun salutations and explore versatile and challenging asanas (physical poses) within intelligent sequences that increase overall strength, flexibility, and stability.  We will then close the practice with the deeply restorative and opening qualities of yin and restorative yoga. Tune in and feel every joyful sensation as you awaken your mind and body, breathing in abundance and a fresh, new perspective with appreciation and gratitude. Nourish your being and open your heart to the beauty within and around you, and invite unity and freedom to guide you from the start of your day.

Root to Rise- Gentle Morning Flow
Greet and honor the day with our gentle morning flow. In this class, we will explore soft flowing sun salutations, gentle movement, some dynamic strengthening, stretching, and awakening sequences. Tune in and feel every joyful sensation as you awaken your mind and body, breathing in abundance and a fresh, new perspective with appreciation and gratitude. Nourish your being and open your heart to the beauty within and around you, and invite unity and freedom to guide you from the start of your day.
*This is a slower paced class, with gentle to moderate intensity.  Level of difficulty can be modified. Cancellation Policy:  Space is limited and many classes book to full capacity.  Please be considerate of the instructor and others who wish to attend or who may be waitlisted for the class and be sure to cancel at least 12 hours before your scheduled class or you will be charged for the class.  If you have a monthly unlimited membership and you do not cancel at least 12 hours before your scheduled class, you may be subject to a late cancellation fee of $20.
