Kids Programs

Kids & family yoga programs offer children a safe and supportive environment to begin their yoga practice with play and joy! Our classes engage young ones through interactive yoga poses, as well as yoga inspired books, music, and games.  Children will also practice meditation and relaxation through fun breathing techniques and positive affirmations, which encourage and reinforce peacefulness, confidence, and compassion. Most importantly they will have fun while they learn this ancient practice that becomes a valuable tool for overall health and well-being at any age.

  Children who practice yoga:

    • Build self-awareness and confidence
    • Increase focus and attention
    • Learn to cope with stress more effectively
    • Learn how to self-sooth, relax, and sleep better
    • Learn to find peace within themselves

Barbara’s Family Yoga for Kids

Bring play to your practice and spend time with the family! This class focuses on engaging younger children (from 5-11 yrs old) and offers them a safe and supportive space to begin their yoga practice with play and joy. Classes include yoga inspired games and interactive poses where they will learn valuable motor skills, building self-confidence and self-awareness, while improving flexibility, balance, and coordination. Through Yoga poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation, children will gain an overall sense of well being in a fun and positive environment. Yoga helps to increase focus and awareness by building strong bodies and minds and improves health and wellness for the whole family!

Classes are taught by Barbara Pesci Rosenberg, RN, RYT, RCYT
an experienced Yoga Alliance Certified Children’s Yoga Teacher

*All ages and abilities are welcome.  Space is limited.  Every 1st Saturday of the month beginning March 7, 2020.  Please see our class schedule to register for current or upcoming classes.   Students should bring their own mats, a limited number of mats are available to borrow.

Barbara’s Kids Yoga
