Focused on increasing proprioception, strength, and mobility of joints, this class will deepen your understanding of your body and it’s relation to movement through the foundation and alignment of Yoga poses and unique targeted exercises throughout the flow. Using a yogic lens of awareness, conscious relaxation, and strategic breathing techniques, the class begins with targeted self massage using Yoga Tune Up® therapy balls to bring increased awareness and increased blood flow and fluid to the multiple layers of connective tissues, followed by gentle flowing sequences that warm and nourish the body, mind, and spirit. Through intelligent and effective sequencing we will also explore traditional and unique challenging asanas (physical poses) and exercises that increase core, joint, and overall strength and stability. Near the end, we integrate short sequences of yin and restorative poses to still and settle the mind and body and re-balance our energy, preparing us for deep release and relaxation. Pattie's guided practices and meditation foster our presence and awareness, inviting a spirit of deep peace, compassion, an open heart, and gratitude. Come de-stress, uplift, restore, and rejuvenate your whole being with us! Ages 12+ and all levels of experience are welcome. As always please modify the practice to your needs and rest whenever needed.
